Instructor: Jade LaVarta is a wildlife illustrator working and residing in her home state of Colorado. She was born and raised in the southwest region of the state between the Uncompahgre and San Juan National forests, where she found her inspiration through the oceans of wildflowers, sub-alpine forests, and the surrounding mountain peaks. Jade uses traditional art mediums to create her work, from colored pencils and graphite, to the age-old process of hand-foraging and creating her own charcoal.
