Inspired by my tinkerings as a forest school teacher, this collection features findings from Black Forest, Colorado and my teachings in the classroom (such as plant propogation).
The process of linoleum block printing is a bit of a process. First you design your stamp on paper, transfer the design to the block, carve out the design and finally add ink to the block and transfer it to paper. Simply put- its creating a stamp.
Since these prints are all hand-pulled, it gives them variations, making each print unique. There will be 30 prints made from each block since overtime the blocks wear down after many uses.
Corrin, the voice and vision behind Brevity Art. I am a mixed media illustrator and fine artist currently living in Colorado Springs, Colorado with my husband and little black cat. I have a personal studio space in our home where I often paint, dance around with our cat, and run this little creative endeavor.
Human connection, beauty found in nature and all small critters excite me. I translate this excitement through my pencils and paintbrush, allowing peace, belonging, and hope to flow through my work.
